Jeff,
I want to thank you for the work you did on our home this last year. The change we experienced over this last winter was beyond our expectations. We were warmer then before and for a cost of a lot less. I believe we are saving about $400 a month in heating and cooling costs. I recommend the work you did for us to anyone out there who is considering the move to propane.

Jeff and Petra Plumbing were awesome. They came when they said they would and if I had a question it was dealt with right away. We had a collection of issues that I asked him to help us with. He’s a problem solver. He resolved my clogged barn drain by putting in a dry well and bypassing my original, inefficient drain. I haven’t had water on the floor of my work area from the drain backing up since he came and changed it. We also noticed some water collecting in our back yard. Jeff found a broken distribution box and replaced it.

We have lived here for 15+ years and have continuously run out of water if we used too much on any given day. (2 loads of laundry, a shower and a load of dishes is all it would take) We approached Jeff with this issue. He thought out of the box for us and has resolved our water shortage problem.

Jeff stands by his work and we have always felt that we could call him (and we have) and he comes right over to help or answer our questons. Thank you Jeff for your honest, timely and high quality work. I’m going to take a shower and do 3 loads of laundry without worry today. Hey!! Maybe I’ll even water the garden.

We first contacted Jeff at Petraman Plumbing because we had a leaky shutoff valve in the basement. Jeff returned our call immediately and made arrangements to be at the house later the same day. Our house is 230 years old and the plumbing had been added to and modified many times over the years before we moved in. It had pipes going everywhere some of which led to dead ends. It had many shutoffs, and an expansion tank which were corroded and non functional.

Jeff fixed the leaky valve and mentioned that if we wanted he could redo the entire domestic water plumbing system and replace the old pipes and valves and remove all the unnecessary piping. He quoted us a fair price and we agreed that he would start the work in three days. He showed up on time as promised and completed the job in two days, even giving us water on the night in between. His work was very neat and professional. He set the system up so that it would be easy to drain during the winter and even offered to come back and help me blow out the lines with compressed air if we wanted to leave for any extended period of time.

Now it will be possible for us to leave during the winter on vacations with complete peace of mind that our pipes won’t freeze.

We lost water in our home the Monday after Christmas. My husband, called a local plumbing and heating service and they came and put a meter on the pump and it was decided that our water pump was the culprit and most likely needed to be replaced, however this wasn’t a service they provided. So my husband called another contractor who made an appointment to come to the house around 1pm, however he never showed up until 3pm. He said he could help, but needed to get in touch with his excavator to see when he could get here to dig up the water pump. The contractor was going to call us back that night which he never did. So my husband called a couple other contractors who said they could do the work, but not until the weather got warmer.

My husband has a cardiac issue and is on a heart transplant list which limits the amount of manual labor he is able to do. It was also very stressful for him trying to deal with the contractors who didn’t seem to care one bit that we were without water. Meanwhile, I was hauling water from work on a daily basis, taking our clothes to the Laundromat on the weekends and we were showering at my place of work. So after almost 5 weeks of dealing with this, I decided to get on the computer and see if I could come up with someone else who might be able to help us. By chance I came across the Home Advisor website and I filled out our information. I did this around 4pm on a Thursday and by the time I got home a little after 5 pm Jeff Senecal from Petra Plumbing & Heating had called twice, leaving a message to call him back. My husband called him back and arrangements were made for Jeff to come out the next day. Jeff came when he said he would.

Jeff told us that he could replace the water pump, but it would be costly and would most probably mean another week without water. Jeff even talked to our insurance agent to see if the water pump would be covered under our home owners insurance. Jeff, however, did come up with another option which was to set up a temporary water source in our garage and hook up that water supply to the water pipes in our house. This would work until April when he can come back and replace our water pump. Once Jeff was given the go ahead, he ordered the supplies, brought the tanks to our house on Sunday, came back on Monday and worked until 8pm that night so that we could have running water in our house.

In conclusion, we would recommend Jeff Senecal to everyone for his excellent service. He cared enough to offer a solution when no one else would and he worked non stop until we had water. This man cares about his customers as much as he cares about his work.

With much gratitude,

Dear Jeff, I am writing on behalf of my wife and myself to thank you for your recent superb services at our home. As you are well aware we have had a foul odor problem in part of her home for over 12 years. We had tried several previous companies to try to repair this problem; each time getting minimal if any improvement.

My wife suggested you as someone to consult as she had heard excellent comments about your reputation. When you arrived you quickly evaluated the problem, laid out a plan for finding out where the odor was coming from and fixing the problem. You quickly identified that the problem was not at all a plumbing problem but a propane gas leak problem. The repair to the propane gas line that you put in place has completely rectified the unhealthy and unsafe leak that had existed in our home for 12 years.

We could not be happier with the results. While on site for the repair of the gas leak problem we also discussed some other plumbing and non-plumbing issues; specifically some ventilation issues related to our bathrooms and an attic ventilation problem. You proposed answers to each problem which we were glad to have you complete. The materials you obtained for completing these projects together with the quality of workmanship were unsurpassable.

We thank you for your superb work, expert advice, and fine craftsmanship. You and your company will be our go to people for a wide variety of home projects from now on. We can fully and unequivocally recommend Petra and Jeffrey Senecal.

If you are looking for the cheapest contractor in town, this is not your place. However, if you are looking for high quality work at a reasonable rate this place may be worth a phone call. We were looking for a trustworthy contractor (not many left in this world) to remodel our kitchen.

When we came across Jeff and his clever ideas, we knew he was the one to get the job done (in a timely and professional manner).

He not only completed the job while we were on vacation, yet we came home to a new, beautiful and clean kitchen. We have been very much satisfied with Jeff’s work and so have our guests. When people come to our house they always comment on the beautiful counters, backsplash and new range with microwave above. Jeff built in the microwave above the range and it gave us much needed counter space. The best part of our new kitchen is the LED lighting. It changes colors, goes to music and sets about any mood. Thanks Jeff!!!! You have received one referral from of us already and hopefully many more to come.

Keep up the good work 🙂
